Recommendations for Guy Fieri

These places are worthy of your show I think. Johnny's Grill in Okla. City, Okla or Elreno, Okla. I grew up going to the one in Elreno. Now that I live in Texas we make sure to stop there when we visit Okla.

Another place is Mount Zion's Missionary Baptist Church BBQ. We affectionately call it Baptist Bar B Que. The money is used for the church though they have been in the same meager building for decades. The restaurant is in the house next door. If you want chicken you need to show up early. I know I haven't used a bunch of flowery words. You'll have to trust me on this one and check it out. I know they were written up in D Magazine years and years ago.

there is a restuarant called tony’s in birch run, mi and it off from I-75. when you order you get big portion and if you order ice cream, you get 1/2 gallon. try this and show on triple D.

You must go to Swenson’s in Akron, OH! Talk about the best double cheeseburger, onion rings and you HAVE to get a California to drink! You’ll NEVER forget it!

  • Amy Goldstein

There is a new restaurant in Saginaw, Texas (Fort Worth) called Chig’s Sports Bar and Grill. Everything I have had there has been really good. I think my favorite are the brisket and pulled pork tacos. There is so much stuff on the menu that is really good, that I can’t really give you a run down, but it is worth a road trip anyway….and Chef Point Cafe is one of our faves!

There was an episode that showed a restaurant that produced up to 10,000 meals a day. it was a conveyor belt . it was awesome. If anyone has seen that episode and knows what I am talking about can you tell me what the place was called please.

Guy…please, please try out Bruxie’s in Orange, CA…waffle sandwich place….I’m sure others have told you about it. It’s been open only 5 months and the line is around the block…offering sandwiches where the bread is actually a waffle…chicken and waffles, a burger in a waffle, sun dried tomato and cost cheese and so much more…like dessert – creme brulee and strawberries in a waffle! We need you Guy…come out and show this place off!

I noticed there is no visitations from Guy in Delaware. Check this address out: 4579 KIRKWOOD HWY, WILMINGTON, DE
The Crossroads Diner, off of Limestone Rd and Kirkwood Hwy.
Family atmosphere and to die for chicken noodle soup.

You have to checkout the Red Bar in Grayton Beach, FL. It’s a hidden jewel of a local dive by the beach with an upscale appeal. Amazing, but Limited menu. Every entree’ is fresh reasonable priced gourmet and delicious. Great atmosphere, everything is trendy and red with artwork and novelties. In the background plays live local jazz/blues music or light rockin blue grass during Sunday brunch. This joint caters to the loyal locals and vactioning crowds! Unique ambience, amazing food, and it;s a secret dive beloved by locals and visitors. It’s definitely one of my favorite local beach dives! The crab cakes are divine! :)

Dairy Delight on Main St. in Tooele UT right outside of Salt Lake City! Very small town I live in.. just saw that it was voted one of the best places to eat in Northern Utah also! Family owned, cheap food, huge variety, home of the “Old Fashioned”!

Guy – You HAVE to come to Colorado and eat at Country Road Cafe in Kittredge — the food is AMAZING!!!! They have incredibly fresh ingredients and super creative specials. They are packed around the clock — and for good reason. They are known locally for their breakfasts but their lunch menu is to die for! AND, the location is so beautiful it will make you cry. Colorado doesn’t get much air time on DDD — please come back, you won’t be sorry!!!!!

Guy, check out Hyman Seafood in S. Carolina. They give so much seafood and it is so good. It is highly rated and very busy. Don’t forget to check out their rocking bench! Check the website, there are line ups.

Guy, I think you would love a restaurant called The 21st Amendment. It is on Bowdoin St. across the street from the side of the Masssachusetts State House in Boston. It has the flavor of a pub and of a top class restaurant. Under the direction of a wonderful chef, Nick Bisesti, the 21st plays host to many legislators who can savor Nick’s fish tacos, Margarita pizza, clam chowder, and great hamburger sliders. I have visited 2 of your recommendations in our area–Sam Lagrassa’s and Rino’s–and I know the 21st will be a wonderful addition to your list of unusually good places to try!

Passprt Cafe is so frickin amazing, it’s my favorite place to eat. You can just chill and eat a burger, or a wrap, or what ever the soup of the day day is. The owner, Troy Bellot, has a Carribean heritage and has Carribean inspired foods, read what has been written in the Columbus Dispatch, and Columbus Alive! Try it, you’ll be sorry is you don’t.

Guy I moved back to Indiana from Henderson, TN and the biggest thing I miss is Joyner’s BBQ at Jack’s Creek, TN. When our realator sold us our house in the country she said that she sold a house in Jack’s Creek to an older couple who wanted a house in that location just so they could go to Joyner’s BBQ. We thought she was pulling our leg until we actually ate there then we saw why!! When friends and family came to visit from Indiana that was one of the places that we took them to eat and all we heard was that was the best BBQ, BBQ ribs, coleslaw, Baked Beans, etc. we have ever had in our life!! Again thats the biggest thing I miss since moving back to Indiana. Btw we just tried out The South Side Soda Shop in Goshen, IN where you done a show-totally awesome :-)

This is a GREAT deli in the heart of Detroit. My grandpa, mother, and I go every weekend during the summer while we visit the Eastern Market that surrounds this little dive. It is very unique in their food and style. You could even end up eating with some strangers at their not-so-roomy lines of 6 tops. One thing is for sure though, they have one of THE best Pastrami Reuben you will EVER eat! I crave that very sandwich for months while I’m away at school for the semester. Not to mention they have great breakfast for those early market shoppers as well as good vegan options for all those foodies that roll that way! You won’t be let down if you make the trip! It is a great atmosphere with some great grub!

HEY, i am a devoted fan of yours, but your stint on the Santa Cruz Diner here in Santa Cruz was way off the hook, and not ina good way. We went there for the first time sunday morning and will not go back. We are locals so we thought your advise would be good. The food sucked, everything was so oiled down we left most of it on the plate, and went back to Jefferys resturant, the food is always clean and well prepared, mabey your program should look at them. they have been in business for quite a few years. I hope you receive this message. thank you and keep on Triple D’n It.

There’s a place in Lihue, HI called Hamura’s Saimin and it’s the best saimin I’ve personally ever had. Sometimes you have to drive around or wait outside until some people leave for a place to sit.
