Guy Fieri should check out Snipes Mountain Brewery, Southport Raw Bar, Gilbert’s 17th Street Grill and Ruddell’s

Folks,

These users filled out the “Tell Guy Fieri Where to Go” form on great local places that Guy Fieri, David Page & the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives should visit. This section is unedited, uncensored and straight from the users who write about the places that they love. Keep the comments and suggestions coming as I built this site to help all those small local businesses get promoted and keep the show alive.

Aside from the fact that they make the absolute best microbrewed beer in the entire Yakima Valley; over the course of two weeks, and a dozen visits, the kitchen never once failed to provide awe inspiring, great food... All cooked right before you, in a wood fired, brick oven...
Now being from Trenton, NJ, I know a good pizza when I taste it (After all, I grew up on fabled DeLorenzo's Tomato Pies)... When traveling to the West, I always tend to find that the pizza is just slightly "off"... The technique and ingredients of making the dough are never quite up to par, and it makes for pizza that tends to be either too chewy (in the wrong way), or dried out... Not to mention the less then grade A, processed toppings that one normally finds.... You can often tell that there isn't an Italian within 100 miles of some places in the West!
Snipes' does it right though... If their ingredients can be sourced local and organic, they are... And I do mean local! Most of their meat products are reared on a ranch just a few miles away, their vegtables (the asparagus is to die for) come from family farms which line the Valley, and lets not forget that Snipes is in the middle of WA wine country, so finding the perfect cabernet to pair with your organic, grass-fed, beef steaks is never an issue...
The menu may not have any distinctive stand alone items that must be tried, but that's because everything on the menu is done so well. As Guy would appreciate, that wood fire makes everything "Money", be it their chicken wings, pizzas, burgers, steaks, fish... You name it, the hickory and mesquite crackling away does the trick on every dish that's served...
Hands down, this is the must visit restaurant for any traveler to the Yakima Valley!

This restaurant just won best burger in fort lauderdale.  I'd not been there before, so I gave it a try.  It was out of this world.  The food was fantastic.  Its a diner style (new yorkish), with a great menu and you order at the counter.  anyway, thought it would be a good suggestion...

Have to go to Ruddell's smoke house in the small beach town of Cayucos, CA! They make the best smoked tacos ever! It’s the only thing they make and with local smoked meat, fish or chicken it’s a little bit of heaven in the form of a taco!
Do yourself a favor and come to this sleepy town for a smoked taco!!!
